Biography

CLIFF SAMARA is a New Yorker by way of Norway by way of London. He was born in Colombo Sri Lanka and is a dual citizen of Great Britain and the United States. After selling a very successful information technology company that he co-founded in NY, he enrolled at Weist-Barron studios and dove right in to acting. In addition to speaking English and Sinhalese (Sri-Lanka) he also speaks fluent Norwegian.

His acting debut was in one of the first major viral ads done for Dominos pizza, where he played "The crazy rich guy". Since then he has appeared on TV shows such as Billions, The Blacklist (as crime lord), The Detour, Blue Bloods (opposite Donnie Wahlberg), Law & order, 30 Rock (opposite Alec Baldwin) and Louie (opposite Ricky Gervais) among others. He has appeared in movies such as Adam Sandler's The Cobbler (Dir: Tom McCarthy, Oscar for best screenplay: Spotlight, handpicked Cliff for this role), Bushwick Beats, Ace The Case, Happy life, Couch, The Good Heart, Game Time, Beautiful Dreamer and We are New York among others. One of his scenes in The Cobbler was with Steve Buscemi. Steve was quite impressed with Cliff's work, and actually wrote a role specifically for him in his Web series Park Bench - Hunting Lodge, where he worked with both Steve and Fred Armisen.

He has also appeared in numerous national TV commercials, industrials and Web series. He also does Standup comedy in NYC.
